Facebook has been

I have deactivated my Facebook account. I rarely looked at it and I felt bad when I didn't check on everyone every single day. I don't need self imposed guilt in my life. Besides I like my blog 100 times better and when I have time I work on my blog first any way. So I deactivated it! What a sense of freedom!

Filet Crochet

Here is a fun project I just finished. Took around 40 hours and the frame is for a 20"x24" mat. I can point out 3 mistakes from here. Oh well it is done and I am happy that it turned out so well.

One Last Wedding

We thought we were done with weddings. Well here is one last one. A week ago today, Trisha married Jarid in the Oquirrh Mountain Temple. Don't they look happy. Now our basement is empty and we are truly empty nesters (for now).

Tag I'm It

I was tagged by Abby, so here it goes.

What is the one thing you still do that is childlike? I wonder "Why" on a whole lot of things. Only now I can go on line and find out the answers.

What is one of the most embarrassing moments of your life? Being caught in my pj's by the full time missionaries. I was 13.

If you could take an all expense paid vacation anywhere in the world, where would you go? Germany for the Boekers and the British Isles.

What's your favorite thing to do to relax? A book, popcorn and bed with fresh sheets.

What is the most spontaneous thing you've ever done? And did you regret doing it? Me spontaneous? You have got to be kidding.

What is your favorite genre of music? Rock from the 60's and 70's. I refuse to call them "Oldies".

What is your favorite movie of all time? October Sky, I introduced someone to it this last month and he agreed that it is a GREAT movie.

If you had the chance to meet someone (dead or alive), who would it be? George Washington Carver

Would you rather live in the country, the mountains, a small town or a major fast paced city and why? A small town because I can keep myself entertained pretty well. I grew up in such a small town.

If you has a crystal ball that could tell you the truth about any one thing you wished to know about yourself, life, the future and anything else, what would you want to know? Ignorance is bliss.

What is your favorite advanced technologically developed thing since your lifetime? The Internet. I can find what I want to know or need to know at the touch of a button. If it were gone I would miss it.

If you could be invisible for a day, what would you do? I really don't know.
What one thing would you want to change in the world today? I don't know how this would be done, but I would change the education system so that every child would be taught in the way that best suits them, so that they wouldn't HATE school.

What fictional character do you best relate to? Ramona

If you knew you had 6 months to live with good health till the end, what would you do? I would live my life the way I am now, so that people wouldn't know that I only had 6 months to live. I like my life as it is now.

Is the customer always right? No, but most of the time, things can be done to make them happy. Then there are those who are so unhappy that you can't do a thing to help them. You feel sorry for them.

What would NOT be worth doing, giving up, missing out on for 1 million, non taxable dollars? Would not take another's life, would not miss out on family, don't need that much money for anything.

If you want to tag you are it!

Life

I have been totally busy this past month. Now that "school is out for the summer" and I don't have a job, I am trying to catch up on some of the things I want to, need to do. I have a tutorial I want to publish so that I won't forget how to make this really great hot pad, and I have lots of other things on my list of "things to do". My Dad is doing better since the crisis over a month ago. This is just to let you know that I haven 't forgotten you. Once I get some other things completed, I will be back.
